SPECIAL SERVICES October Theme: "Reframing a Crisis" Oct. 5 Reframing a Crisis Introduction In his Letter from A Birmingham Jail, Dr. King said, “Nonviolent direct action seeks to create such a crisis and establish such creative tension that a community that has constantly refused to negotiate is forced to confront the issue…" Sometimes the appearance of a crisis shows up and again, these are the moments where we are called to be OK with the discomfort.
