Unity Church of Hollywood has a Lay Prayer Ministry. Lay Prayer Ministers serve for one year period and agree to be available for prayer, at least once a month, for the Sunday services. Also, when requested, lay prayer ministers will be available for hospital visits and special services. Please call the church (954-922-5521) for information. Lay prayer ministers hold the high watch for the prayer consciousness of the church and support our minister as needed. In order to participate in the Lay Prayer Ministry, one should satisfy the following requirements: Be an active member of Unity of Hollywood (or become one prior to completion of the training). A personal commitment to live a life of prayer. Successful completion of the Unity class Lessons in Truth. Completion of History of Unity class An interview with Rev. Frank Philip and one of the Lay Prayer Minister Leaders. Attending a 24 hour Prayer Training Retreat. Successful Completion of five Unity Prayer Training classes scheduled for Wednesday nights. (This class begins with participation in the Wednesday night Meditation each week and continues with prayer training beginning promptly at the conclusion of the Meditation). Demonstration of knowledge and skills concerning Unity and New Thought Prayer.
